H.I.D. (high intensity gas discharge) Headlight Conversions

Finding your lights are not good enough?

We can now offer a new service to our customers. H.I.D. headlights are relatively new as an upgrade option available for older cars.

This type of lighting gives a much improved amount of light in comparison to the filament type bulbs that are normally fitted, but without fitting larger wattage bulbs. H.I.D. lighting uses almost half as much energy as normal 12v lighting.

The light produced is a white/blue colour, as seen on a lot of modern more expensive cars, because of the higher temperature used inside the bulb. We will use the existing headlights, but the bulb will be replaced with an H.I.D bulb and ballast resistor.

The Citroen XM is one of the models that can benefit from installation of these headlights, which results in significantly improved dipped beam performance.

The kits come with all items needed to fit to your car. The various parts of the kit will need to be mounted in the engine bay and wiring routed to suit. Kits cost from £245 + vat plus fitting (for both sides). Kits are available for H1, H3, H4, H7, HB3 and HB4. Call us for more details and costs.

Xenon Bulb Upgrades

Xenon bulbs are an easy way of getting better lighting at a relatively small cost. These bulbs are normal 12v bulbs that use a special gas inside the bulbs to allow higher internal temperatures. This type of bulb can give as much as 50% more light than standard 12v bulbs.

Xenon bulbs are easily fitted and require no modifications to your car.

Replacement bulbs available for H1, H3, H4, H7, HB3, HB4 and HB5.
